March 23, 2017 was a special day for the French Citi Alumni association
CAC 60-19. On that day, 70 Citi France Alumni celebrated the 25
th anniversary of the association’s foundation and its 30
th consecutive annual dinner took place. Its name comes from the combination of “CAC” -
Club des Anciens Citibankers (Citibank Alumni Club), “60” (for the original Citibank Paris branch at
60 Champs Elysées) and “19” (for the second home of the Paris branch at
19 Le Parvis de La Défense after its move in 1982).
The
occasion was particularly special because it also saw one of the
longest running Presidents of the Association, Mr. Jean Remy, hand over
the leadership to Mr. Didier Durandy. Mr. Remy briefly reminisced on the
years he headed the association and Mr. Durandy made an introductory
speech highlighting the lines along which he intend to lead the group
going forward: from increasing the number of subscribing members, to
developing new business-oriented opportunities for members, services for
alumni looking for a job, cultural events, etc.
Andrea Legnani,
Citi’s Director of Alumni Relations, also greeted the crowd and
delivered to Mr. Remy a personal thank-you letter from Citi CEO Mike
Corbat.
Lars Seynaeve, Public Affairs Officer for France and
French alumni coordinator, was present to testify to Citi France's
commitment to a continued partnership with the Association.
The
night went on with all the attending alumni reminiscing old times and
strengthening the bonds formed in years of mutual friendship and
collaboration. Photos of the event can be found here.
